Timeline

Pool Weight

The Challenge

A Hillside Site With No Room For Error.

This Aurora Heights property had a very steep hill, close neighbouring homes, and an excavation opening with only three inches of clearance around the pool shell.

If the fit had been wrong, the project would have faced more excavation, additional crane time, delays, and added cost. The lift had to work the first time.

The Planning

Follow The Project From Lift To Lasting Backyard

New project stories will be added as each installation is documented from site planning through crane placement and final outdoor-space completion.

Steel-frame fabrication

In-shop assembly and structural detailing

Shop preparation before coating

The project required engineered stamped drawings, geotechnical ground support, a site survey, trucking and oversized-load permits, a road-closure permit, and a route plan submitted to the City of Kelowna. Trades included trucking, crane, plumbing, electrical, painting, excavation, landscaping, geotechnical support, and gas fitting.

Installation Day

The 300-Tonne Lift

From arrival to placement, the crane delivery took 4.5 hours. Four crew members prepared the tight pass-through between homes before the pool was lowered into its final location.

The Result

A Perfect Fit.
A Huge Relief.

The pool fit the excavation exactly. The coordination, engineering, and logistics worked as planned—from the original vision through to the final placement.

For DA Steel Pools and homeowners Stan and Marcie, the moment after the set was pure relief—followed by excitement that the plan had come together precisely.
